About Us

The goal of the National Institutes of Health’s Minority Access to Research Careers Undergraduate Student Training in Academic Research (MARC U-STAR) Program is to increase the number of underrepresented students majoring in biomedical and behavioral sciences at Montclair State University. The Montclair State University MARC U-STAR Program is the first program at the University specifically focused on developing and directing under-represented minority students toward pursuing Ph.D. degrees and careers in biomedical and behavioral science research. We provide support and opportunities for honor student participation in laboratory research, advise and guide students throughout their college years, and offer specific programs to maximize the opportunities for successful admission to graduate biomedical/behavioral research programs.
