MAT Program - Master of Arts in Teaching
     This program is designed for people without teaching certification but who have earned a mathematics or math-related undergraduate degree.  Courses are largely offered by the College of Education but include some Math and Math Education coursework offered by the Mathematics Department.  Student will finish with a semester of student teaching and have full state certification at the end of this degree.  Contact the Department of Curriculum and Teaching by phone at (973) 655-5187.

NJCUE Grant - Emergency Certification
      Designed to support people looking for alternate route certification in distressed districts -- support for people who have no certification but are teaching fulltime under 'emergency hire' status.  Contact the Center of Pedagogy, phone (973) 655-4262.  The Center supports other similar programs, such as the TRUST grant.
