    • MINOR IN MATHEMATICS (19 credits)

      Students may earn a minor in the field of mathematics by completing an approved 19 semester hour program in mathematics which includes:

      MATH 122 Calculus I (4 credits)
      MATH 221 Calculus II (4 credits)
      MATH 222 Calculus III (4 credits)
      MATH 335 Linear Algebra (4 credits)
      3 creditsAny 300 or 400 level MATH or STAT elective approved for the major

      At least 9 of these 19 semester hours must be taken at MSU.

    • MINOR PROGRAM IN MATHEMATICS WITH TEACHER CERTIFICATION (34 credits)

      For students who wish to be certified in mathematics in addition to certification in their major field

      Students are encouraged to select MATH 470 Teaching of Mathematics as one of their electives. At least 9 of these 34 semester hours must be taken at MSU.

      Complete PHYS 191/192 University Physics I & II (8 credits) and A or B below:
